Well I love Sunday!! I love fellowship with my church family. I love singing in the choir. I love good Bible based preaching. And I love Sunday school. Today we had a woman speak who is actually the daughter of one of our church members and a missionary to West Africa. She taught our all ladies Sunday school about being plugged in. She said that people who are unplugged are the people who are totally lost in sin. She said that people who are partially plugged in are unable to handle people and situations the right way because they are relying on their own strength and not the Lord. These people she said give off a shock every time someone comes around them and lashes out. She said no one can be happy partially plugged in. I started to analyze my own heart and I wondered how often am I running partially plugged in. How often do I lash out at people or ignore their own hurt or pain because I am too wrapped up in my own little world. Too often, I am ashamed and humbled to say. Then she spoke on those that are fully plugged in. Totally tuned into God and willing to let Him work His will in their lives. This is the category I desire to be in. Don't you? So I guess I am asking tonight "Are you plugged in?"
And the vessel that he made of clay was marred in the hand of the potter: so he made it again another vessel, as seemed good to the potter to make it. Jer 18:4
We have to be diligent to stay plugged in don't we? The devil is always tugging at that line. Too many times I'm not only unplugged, but I can't even find the wall socket. Good post. But for right now, I'm plugged in tight! Even this morning I didn't turn the Christmas music on, I just put some good gospel songs in because even though the Christmas songs I"m listening to are about the Lord, just knowing the songs are the Christmas theme gets my mind more on the season than on Him.
