Will We?

Tonights service at church was sooo awesome.  Our pastor preached on the people in the Bible that God was concerned for.  He preached on the 7 people who God called by name and said their name twice. It was great but at the end of the message he said that he was reminded of one more.  It was this verse below.

Mat 23:37  O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, thou that killest the prophets, and stonest them which are sent unto thee, how often would I have gathered thy children together, even as a hen gathereth her chickens under her wings, and ye would not!

He shortened this to "how often would I and ye would not".  He said how often has the Lord had to say this to us.  Tessa, Tessa how often would I have ______ and ye would not.  How often would He have given comfort? peace? hope? love?  How often have I turned to other things instead of turning to Him?  I thought this was a great thought.  I want to resolve in my heart to try to live with a "and ye will" ending instead.  Will you pray with me that I will surrender more fully to the Lord and His will for my life and my family's life?  I want to ask you this evening are you living with a "and ye would not" or an "and ye will" ending to that Bible verse.  I know none of us have arrived and none will till we get to heaven.  But don't you want to strive to live a life in total surrender to the Lord?  I know I do.  I am so much happier when I am in His will!!
