Don't you just love your kids? I love my kids. I love how they decorate my tree with all the ornaments in one spot, I really do! I don't understand people who say they can't wait for there kids to not be interested in decorating their tree anymore so everything can be perfect on their tree. I love the way my kids decorate my tree and I absolutely love how excited and enthusiastic they are about it. I love the way they dance around singing Christmas carols at the top of their lungs =]. I love how excited the girls get about fluffy twirling Christmas dresses. I love how Aiden gets excited about any present he gets, (just today he got a pack of socks and he said, "I'm so thankful for new socks, I really needed them!") I just think that children bring out all the good things about Christmas and make it so much better! I am so thankful that the Lord gave me another Christmas with all of my children happy and healthy! I know I'm not promised tomorrow the Bible tells us in Proverbs 27:1
Boast not thyself of to morrow; for thou knowest not what a day may bring forth. I know I don't always thank him for everyday we have together, but I am so thankful. Today our pastor was talking about Mary and Joseph. Can you imagine in that time period how hard things would have been for them? Very few people would have believed the truth behind Mary's pregnancy but she chose the Lords will anyway for her life and Joseph chose to endure whatever ridicule he may have faced to follow the Lords plan. Doesn't this make you question your own self as a Christian? It's so much easier to choose what is easy and will cause the least amount of trouble. And it's right to have tact and grace, but are you still letting your light shine? How often do we forsake the Lord's plan so that we can be more comfortable? I was just thinking about this today. Lord help me to, like Mary and Joseph, take a stand for what's right!
