So Thankful!

Have you ever stopped to really consider how very blessed you are?  As I was checking my emails today I got one in particular that made me stop and praise the Lord for all the blessings in my life!  My Aunt Neeci wrote about my cousin Evan who is in Afghanistan.  She was saying how though he tries not to seem down he is really struggling having to be apart from his family through the holidays.   It got me thinking about how a little thing like being with your family everyday and looking forward to turkey dinner,  pecan pie [cause I don't like pumpkin], eggnog, the Christmas tree, decorations, the celebration of the great gift we were all given when Jesus came to this Earth to die for us, and all else this season brings.  There are so many men and women who won't be with their families this year.  So as we come upon Veterans Day I just wanted to say that though its not perfect I love this country I was blessed to be born in.  I am so very thankful for all those who have chosen to put their lives in jeopardy and are willing to spend the holidays away from those they love so that I can be safe to enjoy my family and friends.  In this day of dwindling patriotism I just want to state how very precious all those serving are to me and all those who have sacrificed so much for this country!
