Oh Give Thanks

I thought and thought about what I should do for my Thanksgiving blog and I didn't know what to write.  Or where to start.  So I decided to do this blog post in sections kind of a blog post inside a blog post.  So here goes!!

Thankful To The Lord
As I think of what it is that I am so thankful for in my life, the normal things pop into my head, you know the ones you always think about, your family, your friends, food, shelter, clothes, a great church etc.  And I am so  very thankful for all of these things but I wanted to search a little deeper.  As my husband and I rode to revival the other night hand in hand (I know its cheesy), the older kids chatting in the backseat and Abby bellowing hymns (and rather noisy), I started to think where we would be if the Lord hadn't saved us.  So I asked Bryan where he thought we would be and he said "Divorced, and we wouldn't have Abby and Vannah."  I had to stop all thought at that moment and praise the Lord and thank Him.  Only He could fix a marriage that was where ours was four years ago.  I have many many things I am thankful for but nothing equals how the Lord has worked and blessed in our lives.  He has been so very, very good. I want to say publicly that I love Him. Above all else!!

My Husband
I am so thankful for my husband.  He is beyond a shadow of a doubt perfectly made for me.  He loves me unconditionally and he guards my heart and my feelings always. No matter what I say or do in a bratty moment (and believe me I have quite a few (unfortunately))  he loves me and forgives me.  One day I wrote him a note and in it I said, "Thanks for loving me despite my mood swings."  He emailed me back and said, "Your worth every mood swing you can dish out."  How awesome a husband is he?  Anyways, while we were in the mountains for Thanksgiving we had an ongoing joke that every time I tried to take a picture of him he would make a weird face.  So I am posting all of his funny pictures. I think "Bryan's Photo Shoot" is an appropriate title for this group of pictures.

My Kids
I am so very thankful for my kids!!  I love every little hair on their collective heads.  They are so incredibly awesome in every way.  Children have such an innocent and sweet way about them.  They make everything more fun.  This year was so much fun cutting our Christmas tree down in the mountains.  The kids had a blast running in and out of the Christmas trees and having so much fun!  It reminded me of when I was younger and had so much fun doing the same thing.  Then when we went up to Bryan's grandparents and went four wheeling we had a blast and the kids love riding and going really fast.  We had a bonfire last night on mom and dads property and roasted hot dogs and marshmallows and it was just all around a lot of fun. Here are some pictures of the kids!

My Family
I am thankful for all of my family.  I am thankful for my parents and what great parents they are and what great grandparents they are.  I am thankful that although they are getting older they are still so much fun to be around.  I am also thankful for all of my many siblings.  Life was never boring and I have many happy childhood memories with each of my brothers and sisters.  I love them all and am so thankful for them.  Here are some pictures of my mom and dad in the mountains.  We had such a good time with them.

  2. Hmmm, I loved it! Cried when I read the first part, smiled about Aiden and Bella on the tire swing Bella told me about last night before church, and laughed out loud hoping Dad decided against the lift! haha! Don't think the music is showing up on my computer, at least I don't hear anything.
